Sustainability in design: the future of net zero building

Our house is 114 years old and houses this age have gone through a lot of owners and a lot of different  renovations.

In an attempt to make the front of our house look somewhat less abandoned, I moved this single urn out here.Maybe it doesn’t look so stunning, but it feels better to me, and that’s motivation to keep going, all year, 365 days.

I’m betting I can even find things to clean up out here during the Winter months too..If that doesn’t happen though, and I forget again about the power of these 15 minutes, can someone remind me in the Spring?.I’m going to need all the 15 minutes’ and the 365 days’ that I can get!I really really love a good rag wreath.

I think I’ve made about four of them for different occasions this year.I just love how soft and textury and homey they are.. Well, I was tempted to make another one for Fall this year.

Is there a more textury season than Fall?

I had a little bit of a different idea though after looking at some of my favorite images of Fall entryways..I do it almost the exact same way.. Now that’s more what I was looking for!

All those little bumpy bits have totally disappeared!.A lot of people only think of using caulking on things like bath tubs, sinks, and windows, but you really can use it on just about any DIY home project to get a nice perfectly finished look.

Here’s where my mirror meets the wall.It was just looking not so clean and newly refreshed.. You’re just getting all kinds of sneak peeks of this bathroom today now aren’t you?.
